Welcome to Stage 1
Hello and welcome to Movement in Practice Stage 1. Please take a couple of minutes to watch your welcome video from Dr Peter Lovatt.
Hello, my name is Dr Peter Lovatt. I’m a Psychologist with a special interest in human movement. I’m particularly interested in the impact movement has on a range of psychological characteristics, such as the way we think, learn and interact with other people.
In this lecture I discuss the relationship between movement and learning.
I will describe four areas of research which show how movement changes the way we engage with our peers, how movement changes the way we think and learn, how movement changes the way we see the world and evaluate things and how movement changes our mood, team work and problem-solving.
I hope you enjoy Movement in Practice an Introduction.
