Health & Safety Policy
Movement in Practice Academy (MiP Academy) has customers who do online learning within their own home. To ensure good govenance, MiP Academy has provided a health and safety policy to ensure online learners are able to have good health, safetfy and welfare practice in place.
The law stipulates:
Under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, you have a legal duty to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of your employees.
The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (the Management Regulations) require you to assess and control risks to protect your employees.
The MiP Academy Health and Safety Policy advises that customers maintain safe and healthy online working conditions including by providing for themselves:
a safe place to do the course,
safety getting to and from the space doing the online course,
a clean environment,
access to clean toilets and hand basins,
access to drinking water,
access to somewhere to rest and eat meals,
suitable facilities for pregnant or nursing mothers,
a reasonalbe working temperature,
a work space and adequate seating,
ensure you have robust evacuation/escape routes incase of emergency.
The Movement in Practice Academy will review this policy regularly.

Arrangements for health and safety
We will complete relevant risk assessments and take action if required.
We will review risk assessments when relevant.
We will signpost online customers to the MiP Academy Health & Safety Policy to ensure they have adequate arrangements for home learning.
We will consult customers routinely on health and safety matters as they arise and formally when the MiP Academy Health & Safety Policy is reviewed.
Evacuation plans are included in the MiPA Health and Safety Policy.
